Ember bottles, forge metals, and the artefacts that shape a run.
Ember bottles
Ember bottles are the game's healing consumable. You can carry three at a time by default, refill them at any campfire, and expand your capacity by finding the Ember Hearth relics hidden through the chapters.
Forge metals
Iron, bronze, and star-metal drop from chapter enemies and elite fights. Deliver them to a forge to upgrade a weapon. Star-metal is rare — plan to spend it on the weapon you actually use.
Ember Fragments — the single soft currency
Ember Fragments buy skill nodes and cosmetic unlocks. There is exactly one soft currency in the game; we deliberately kept the economy readable and cheat-resistant.
Relics and permanent buffs
Scattered through the world are twenty relic artefacts — extra ember capacity, faster hammer recovery, longer dodge, more drop rate. Each relic is a permanent buff; they are the game's exploration reward and the reason to revisit older chapters.
